Mark Coleman is an associate professor of forestry at University of Idaho and director of the Intermountain Forest Tree Nutrition Cooperative. He received his PhD in Forest Resources from University of Washington in 1988 and then spent six years working for Michigan Tech and US Forest Service on northern hardwood responses to air pollution in the Lake States. Prior to coming to Idaho, he also spent 10 years studying the viability of short rotation woody crops and promoting bioenergy for the US Forest Service at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina.
